Cats and cardboard? An iconic duo! Nothing can separate cats and cardboard. They always find it entertaining and start having fun with the cardboard. I am not sure about your cats, but my cat would go crazy over cardboards tube from the finished toilet paper rolls.
Here’s how you can transform a mere toilet paper roll into one of the coolest cat toys!
You only need 4 materials:
- Toilet paper rolls
- Pom poms
- Hot glue
- Cat treats
Firstly, glue pom poms around the empty toilet paper rolls with a hot glue gun. Next, fold the edges at one end of the toilet paper tube until they slightly overlap. Lastly, you can put in some cat treats inside the tube and fold the other end in.
You are done! Easy and simple, right? Now, head over to your cats and watch them going crazy playing with the Rom Pom Rattle Tube trying to pry open the ends of the tube to get the treats inside!

Is it only my cat, or do your cats love playing around with your clothes? Because mine did that almost every single time when he found my clothes lying around unguarded! My cat would suddenly become so playful that even he couldn’t control his excitement when playing with my clothes. I still had fun watching him!
So, here’s a nice idea on how to distract your cat from your clothes and still let them have fun! Just follow these simple steps.
You only need 4 materials:
- Old t-shirt
- Ruler
- Pencil or Sharpie
- Scissors
First of all, lay a t-shirt on a flat surface and draw 6 skinny rectangles 1” wide by 10” tall, starting from the bottom edge. Next, you can cut the rectangles out. Then, all you need to do now is to stack the 6 long strips of fabric and tie them together with a single knot at the centre.
It’s done! You can make more, toss them to your cats and see how excited they would be!
Besides making your cats happy with these t-shirt knots, this is also a nice way to reuse all your old t-shirts!
