In a bold step towards the future of luxury hospitality, Capella Hotel Group has introduced Digital Payment Tokens (DPTs) as a payment option at its flagship properties, Capella Singapore and Patina Maldives, Fari Islands. By partnering with dtcpay, a licensed DPT payment service provider, the group enables guests to settle transactions in a secure and efficient manner, free from the risks of price volatility.

Guests at Capella Singapore can now scan a QR code at the front desk using their preferred digital wallet, completing transactions with ease during check-in or check-out. The hotel currently supports payments for all room charges, simplifying the process for international travellers and avoiding currency conversion hassles. Meanwhile, Patina Maldives, Fari Islands, offers a similarly seamless experience, allowing payments through secure links that align with the resort’s tranquil ambience.

The properties now accept a range of digital currencies, including WUSD (Worldwide USD), USDT (Tether), USDC (USD Coin), Bitcoin (BTC), and Ethereum (ETH). This initiative responds to the global rise in digital currency adoption, appealing to a broad segment of the 560 million people worldwide who own digital currencies.
